Greater Vancouver Food Bank was established in 1983 as a temporary relief to address the hunger crisis. Over the past four decades, it has grown significantly and now provides assistance to approximately 15,000 individuals each month across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore1. The food bank offers a variety of services, including food distribution, nutrition education, and community outreach programs, all aimed at alleviating food insecurity and supporting those in need.
The Marpole Community Food Hub is a grocery food hub for the Kerrisdale/Marpole/Oakridge community.
We have been supporting the community since September 2021 and provide a weekly food distribution program - offering dry good and produce once a week to community members in need.
